About the artist

Katlin McFadden is a Pennsylvania-born artist best known for her focus on portraits. She currently resides in the Greater Philadelphia area where she sells her original artwork and vintage art print collection. Katlin focuses on two mediums-charcoal and acrylic paint. She enjoys exploring the world of abstract brushstrokes and color theory. Katlin describes her earliest encounters with paint beginning with her impressionist style paintings of ballerinas using nail polish on printer paper during her childhood.

When describing her love of portraits, Katlin states “Many can appreciate the beauty of their loved ones and recognizable faces. The contrast between cold ocean blues and warm fiery sunsets. The texture and shade of their favorite sweater. I have a passion for capturing a person as they are with their unique demeanor. In summary, my work examines capturing the human disposition and person’s unique energy.”
